From 1990 to 2006 was an independent consultant with Walker International Financial Packages.
This involved installing, customising and tuning all of the complex financial modules, General Ledger GL,
Procurement, Accounts Payable AP (BACS payments), Accounts Receivable AR, Asset Management AM
and Inventory Management.
Personal interests in Business Intelligence Reporting, General
Ledgers, Sanction Screening, OLAP Cube Sub-Ledgers and is
a fully trained Datanomic Partner which provides a powerful
data analysis tool to greatly improve the quality and integrity
of client’s data.
Achievements include: Designed and wrote a batch system to
compute very large OLAP cubes of which the information is
used in The Royal Bank of Scotland’s board room. The
integration of 40 plus General Ledgers into one when RBS merged
with National Westminster and Ulster Bank. Designed and wrote
a system to feed financial data into a RBS Management Information
MI data warehouse. Documented the business and process flow
at the Royal Liver, designed a software solution, and then
led a team to build it.
Currently studying “Business object orientated modelling” and “Business and System UML modelling” with an objective of passing the BCS/ISEP Business Analysis Diploma in 2012.
Hobbies include family, home computing, Karate instructor, Aikido student and amateur radio.
Domiciled in Yorkshire and works anywhere in the UK.
